What is colour blindness?
Some people can't see every colour or may not see the difference between certain colours. Usually people with colour blindess can't see the difference between red and green. This is because some of the cells on their retina are missing or do not work properly. Boys are also more likely to be colour blind than girls are.
Myth: Eating carrots can improve vision.
Fact: Although it's true that carrots are rich in vitamin A, which is essential for sight, so are many other foods (asparagus, apricots, nectarines, and milk, for example). A well-balanced diet can provide the essential vitamin A needed for good vision.

"The atmosphere, range of designer frames and the high levels of service at Wendy Diddams changed the way I viewed going to the opticians. By using an independent I have found that I don’t have to hang around waiting for ages and I also have never had an appointment cancelled since being with Wendy."
Naomi Wellman, from Knutsford, patient at Wendy Diddams Optometrist
