Sight Care Group has announced a collaborative partnership with Johnson & Johnson Vision Care to support the ‘Eye Love My Local Independent Optician’ campaign in 2010/2011 to raise awareness of the benefits of independent local optical practices.
To find out more about independent community opticians, consumers can visit www.eyelovelocal.co.uk where they can access tips and advice on taking care of their eyes. Sight Care Group members are also encouraged to use the site to stay in touch with campaign activity.
Chief Executive of the Sight Care Group, the business and product support organisation for independent opticians, Paul Surridge, said: “Since ‘Eye Love My Local Independent Optician’ launched in March 2010, we’ve generated a high level of interest from both consumers and independent practitioners. Johnson & Johnson Vision Care is the ideal partner for ‘Eye Love My Local Independent Optician’ and we look forward to their long term involvement to help us to continue to drive the campaign forward.”

The campaign is helping participating practices liaise with local media to highlight the importance of regular eye exams, in conjunction with Sight Care Group’s national awareness raising initiatives.
